International Workshop on Automated and Intelligent Software Testing (AIST 2024)

Description

Automated testing focuses on automatically testing software in accordance with test engineers’ scheduled plans using test tools or other means. It can cost effectively complete a lot of testing work that would otherwise be very time consuming and expensive if done by hand. There are many factors that need to be considered while performing automated testing such as testing process, testing structure, automatic compilation, and so on. Further, software testing should also be integrated with recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI). This has lead to an emerging research discipline that combines software testing automation and intelligent software testing. This discipline has two aspects: use of AI algorithms in software testing and testing of AI software. This workshop serves as a platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss and exchange ideas of the latest development of theories and techniques in automated and intelligent software testing. It also gives attendees an opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned in applying these theories and techniques to real-life projects in practice.

Topics

The list of topics includes, but is not limited to:

  • Theories, techniques, and tool support of automated testing
  • Application of artificial intelligent algorithms to software testing
  • Design and automatic generation of test cases and testing scripts
  • AI-based software verification and validation
  • AI-based software testing models, prediction, simulation, and evaluation
  • Testing of artificial intelligence software

Submission

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research papers as well as industrial practice papers. Simultaneous submissions to other conferences are not permitted. Detailed instructions for electronic paper submission, panel proposals, and review process can be found at QRS submission.

Each submission can have a maximum of ten pages. It should include a title, the name and affiliation of each author, a 300-word abstract, and up to 6 keywords. Shorter version papers (up to six pages) are also allowed.

All papers must conform to the QRS conference proceedings format (PDF | Word DOCX | Latex) and Submission Guideline set in advance by QRS 2024. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper is required to pay the full registration fee and present the paper at the workshop. Submissions must be in PDF format and uploaded to the conference submission site. Arrangements are being made to publish extended version of top-quality papers in selected SCI journals.
